Currently, access to osteopathy on the NHS is limited. Primary Care Trusts have been slow to implement the recommendations by NICE (The National Institute for Clinical Excellence) that osteopathic care be considered as one treatment option for low back pain and as such the British Osteopathic Association has referred to availability of Osteopathy on the NHS in England as a post code lottery.
